I started painting in 2000 as an item on my bucket list. I began painting on gourds and later moved to canvas as I painted more and more. I started painting every day as I found I couldn't get enough of it. I have painted furniture, home decor, clothing and art work. I love it all and can't wait to tackle a new subject or a new item.

I am a certified florist for the past 30 years so I wanted to learn to paint flowers. They are difficult and I felt like it took me forever to master even one of them. I continue to add to my floral paintings as I work almost daily to improve my craft.

I teach beginning art students in person and online classes. I know how difficult it was for me to learn to paint because of a lack of cohesive materials that I could understand. I teach in a manner where anyone can understand what I'm saying. I want people to have fun as they learn and be able to build on their art knowledge every day.
